How to prepare for a hair appointment:
- Wash hair prior to appointment (the night before)
- Let hair air dry or blow dry with no products in the hair
- Wear a button up shirt to your appointment (no shirts that have to be pulled over the head is recommended)
*Natural hair is best
How to prepare for a make-up appointment:
- Cleansed fresh face, clear of any make-up
- Moisturize (recommended for dry skin: spray a light mist of rose water for extra moisture)
- Wear a button up shirt to your appointment (no shirts that have to be pulled over the head is recommended)
*Prior to appointments at Cook Studio have eyebrows waxed, spray tan (must be from an approved professional Spray Tan Artist), and clean or freshly manicured nails.
Who is Behind the Brush?
Champayne Wilson was born in Georgetown, Kentucky but currently resides in Lexington, Kentucky and is a 2010 graduate from
Scott County High School. She is a professional Make-Up Artist and Spray Tan Artist specializing in weddings, pageants, photoshoots and other special occasions. Upon completing high school she then proceeded to pursue her lifelong fascination with beauty at
Paul Mitchell the School of Lexington where she completed the required 1800 hours of coursework. She has a son and she also has a love for dogs and has two of her own. Champayne has competed in pageants for many years and has also served as a judge, and coaches as well.
She is recognized as one of the preferred Make-Up Artists at
Cook Studio, the premier pageant headshot photography studio in the midwest.
